abs problem? first 2000 model c200
This problem only occurs within about 30 seconds from startup
My brake pedal does appear to be vacuum assisted, but my brake pedal when pushed for use, will not be allowed to be pushed down(like something mechanical stopping pedal being pushed down)
This is a little disconcerting with the wife already having run into the house...
This is a supercharged car with the old 2litre engine
I am thinking ABS now? (No warning lights)
(I thought I had just fixed this problem after finding a vacuum leak with a broken vacuum hose, but this leak has fixed a high idle during the same 30 second startup time)
Thanks again, John.
I was wondering if the ecu , which did had a vacuum leak going to it(through a broken hose), could have had something to do with it/affecting abs/some related function with brakes?
Unless it just could be my vacuum pump on the way out?
plenty of shush shushy noises going on when you apply brake, though.
This is only a sometimes problem also, just after startup, not after that.
