Cool springs on C230 Coupe

can anyone post any pics of 18' rims or higher on the C230 Coupe? If so can you indicate if you put new springs on them or not? Also can anyone recommend what kind of springs I should buy if I do decide to lower the car. Thanks!

stock spring pads. That's why i was wondering why your cars rear wheel gap is a bit high.

blackcCoupe... what size spring pads do you have with your springs?

your car looks a bit high.. I want vritually no wheel gap

onie's looks very similar but even higher..

By no means is this a remark of offense... but I thought lowreing springs would take me to the point of no wheel wells.

Does changing front pads to #1 help?? the rear is close to what I want.

first of all i did change my rear spring pads to #1 and there is no wheel gap at all i cant even stick my fingers in there. and seconed there are no spring pads on the front to change. and lowering springs do not drop a car which is obviously what u are looking for at least no lowering spring for a mercedes thats a good brand spring will drop your car. i personally think my car is a perfect height i would not want it higher or lower at all. it seems like u might want coil overs which i think suck. but its up to u.
maybe i need to take better pics of the wheel gaps for u. but i will tell u again there is no gap in the rear at all infact its actually tucking but the front is not. on this car just the way it is if u wanted the front to tuck your front bumper will be on the floor. If u had the springs put on your car they make a HUDGE difference in person, maybe noting big in the pics though. And all the people that saw my car in person after it was done could not belive how low it was eaither. good luck

well it seems like u really wanted it to be low so probally not. i have the stock c7 tires which are low profile but with your 18's u probally have a little more of a lower profile tire with it so it will make up for the difference of my fatter tires and smaller rims VS. bigger rims and thiner tires. and if u dont want a #1 pad u can always get a 2 or 3. my car came with #4 pad but it had the C7 package but i think the non C7's might have a smaller one.

Hmm.. I had the Canadian equivalent of the C7 (Evolution Package), but I sold my C7's in favor of 18s... It's just that I need to purchase the SPRING PADS from MB before I bring it to my mechanic to lower it.

Is there any way of seeing what I have first?

well your lucky i first lowered my car then realized they had smaller spring pads so i had to have them put on after which cost me $150.00 but since u have the evlolution package u probally have the #4 pads also but i'm not sure. u can check what u have i did the same thing u just have to go look under the back of the car just kinda slide under it lol make sure the cares off and just look at the rear spring and look on top of them for a rubber pad u will find out which pad u have by counting the small rubber nipples on them very small if u have a #4 pad u will see 4 small dots and i guess u get the idea. just look careful for them and u will see them there like a.most a pen dot size but u will see them just look careful.

goodluck
