Got the new wheels on the Coupe...
Well, I got my new SSR Integrals on the Coupe yesterday (once again Luke@tirerack.com is the man). I went with 18 X 8 ET 35 front and 18 X 9 ET 38 rear. I running 225/40 and 255/35 S0-3 Pole Positions, which I have to say are absolutely incredible. Given the wheel weight is around 18 – 19 lbs, I should be around 40 - 45 lbs. or so total. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to weigh them before putting them on, but I promise I’ll weight the stock rims and tires since this has been such a hot topic.
Anyway, here's a quick picture I took on the way in from lunch. It’s not the greatest, but it gets the point across. If any of you are like me and struggled with how offset X would look, how close to the fender, clearance, etc., just let me know and I can take some more detailed pictures.

bos, did you see that post in the wheels forum about SO3s developing a flat area if you leave it for a couple of days? i've never heard of this before but since you'll be driving a lot, it shouldn't be an issue, right?

On a more serious note, all the people I've talked to that run softer performance tires experience the "flat spot" issue. It's not permanent, just a matter of applying little "heat", so to speak, and all is well. It happens a lot to those lucky few that have nice cars running high-end tires that end up sitting the whole winter. Oh, to only have those minor problems in life.

Looks good, and judging from front view #2, you have room for 265/35 in the rear.

I hear what your saying, but a 255/35 is pretty HUGE. Trust me, I've done my best to breakout the rear end on those 70 mph freeway ramps, and a 255 just holds on. Granted, Tirerack states that a 18X10 BBS will fit, and I have no reason to doubt it, but an 18X9 with S-03's does just fine for the Coupe.

Bos are you really trying to smoke them? Do you drive a manny or an auto?
During take off if I deselect ESP and drop the clutch (at 4000) on my C7 17" 225/45 the rear end starts to travel out and the wheels are smoking.
Give me some details I'm really curious to know if 255/35 really have that much of an effect.

In cornering they just grab and are very predictable. They don't just let go like the stock tires did. They do more of a walking type action at the point of loosing adhesion. It's kind of like you can just feel those large blocks taking tiny steps, but yet still holding on very well. I hope that helps.
