Angry cracked windshield and fog light!

Errr... about 2 weeks ago on the freeway, a rock the size of a human fist hit my windshield and left a nasty crack. The dealer quoted $850 for the replacement, so I went to an auto glass repair shop and see what they could do... I ended up paying $65 to have the crack (dime size) epoxied. Since the crack is not in my direct line of sight, I think I'll leave it alone until it spiders out. I prefer this over having someone take apart my whole windshield and railings to install a new replacement.

Like having to look at this dime size crack everyday is not enough, just today I notice that my driver side fog light is cracked! The light still functions, just the glass is cracked! Has anyone replaced the fog light him/herself? Or does this require the removal of the front bumper???

Hmm... BTW, how much will the dealer charge for a fog light replacement? I might just have the dealer do it since my 10000 service is coming up soon. I just hope they don't charge an arm and a leg for this... I remember paying $285 for a fog light replacement for my E36 M3...

Any input is appreciated... Thanks~

Same thing happened to me on my c230 coupe. The dealer wanted $280 bucks to replace the whole fog lamp. I just bought the glass for $25 and replaced it myself. I wasn't hard at all and it probably took me around 40 minutes to do it.
Hope this helps !

I was too lazy to do it myself...I let MBSD replace it for 65.00 during my 60k service.
