HELP MECHANIC NEEDED FOR 2001 C320

Hey everyone, Ashley here, so I know I've been MIA for a while & I haven't been able to begin work on my car because now I'm going to medical school and I lost my job. I am in need of some work done to my car (heater doesn't work, engine mounts need to be tightened, my wheels are going positive instead of negative, & some minor work also) and I'm in the Bay Area & need a mechanic who specializes with Mercedes. My dad has a friend that used to work on my car "for a good price" and he is a mechanic at the Mercedes dealership but he was crooked. I needed a new ignition switch about a year ago, and I couldn't turn my car on, so he installed a new one but in process of him installing a new one, he took the switch out for my alarm system. Do you know how nerve wrecking it is to have a nice car with no alarms ??? After about 9 months he took my car in and finally fixed that problem. But 9 months without an alarm is still bad ! I would be nervous to go anywhere because in all honesty, you never know what could happen! And whenever I would leave my car with him he never fixed the problems I asked about. I also need new shocks because my car squeaks like a **** every time I hit a bumpy road or speed bumps. But anyways, if there is a mechanic out there on this forum I would greatly appreciate a quote or something to help me out. I know I can't afford much but I will do anything for my car as long as it's at a decent price. Please help! I will greatly appreciate it!

Ps, also looking for a body shop who can take care of the scratches on my car because people like to be *******s and key my car. Color is amethyst metallic.

I know a lot of local guys in the bay go to Mercedes Exclusively in San Jose. Not sure where in the Bay you're in though, but if South bay, should hit them up.

I heard fair. They have all the equipment you'll need too, including a STAR system.

Ashley, try posting in the W203 section of the forum HERE for a much better response for future problems. This the introduction section so you wont get too many people passing through that can help answer tech stuff to your specific MB. Good luck!

BTW, squeaking at slow speed over bumps might be the sway bar bushings. You should be able to see them without taking off the plastic underbelly. I'd spray them with silicone lubricant and see if the squeak goes away.

you should also check Zentrum in Oakland. they are really good.
My car was in need of the rear main seal and they did an excellent job - not to mention that they were close to 20% cheaper than the steelership.
