The passenger hood hinge was jammed when I tried to close the hood, and it seems like it may have damaged the upper radiator hose. I tried pushing the metal piece further into the reservoir but the tip was very brittle and pieces were falling off. Now a metal piece is exposed, and after I just got back from driving, there is a slight hiss and it seems like a very miniscule leakage. I looked up both the coolant reservoir part and upper radiator hose, but I don't see the metal piece on either.
Anyhow, can I just wrap some electrical tape around the exposed metal piece to fix this?
I used this on my C320 when I replaced my water pump, all hoses and thermostat at 200,000 miles. (didn't have any issues with any of it did it as preventive maintenance)
