Remote start installed
Hey guys. Installed a remote start today. Has smart phone capability with starting, locking, unlocking. You can also see in cabin temp on the app which is nice for really hot and really cold days.

I thought you couldn't install remote start due to the key having a code? How did u do it?

I bought the module from mid city engineering. I don't know their technology, but it's high quality. I assume it somehow simulates my key for the start function.

As for installation, no idea how much. I did it myself. The kit was $399 from mid city. You'll have to consult your dealer for an installation price.

I'd install myself as well. Its just that I only read threads stating it was impossible but now I will try it before next winter

Something Slow
MidCity has been doing this for quite sometime its a nice Feature to have but it only works on the 04+ cars I think..
