Oil in loom fixed, but P0075 fault code returning

Hi,
First time poster here. Got here researching why my C200 Estate 2007 model was pushing oil down the loom and found, to my dismay this is a common issue with this car. Unfortunately MB South Africa just laughed at me (literally) when I suggested they pay for it (no recall in SA).
So, $1000 later I have a new loom, protection harnesses and all connectors cleaned; but the P0075 fault reappeared 3 weeks later! Limp mode enabled. Service center can find nothing wrong, reset the fault, but day later it is back. Service center apparently also got P0077, but no other faults reported.

I would like to start debugging the loom going to the solenoids myself (I assume this is what the fault is referring to).
Is there any process I have to be aware of when measuring the PWM going to the solenoids? If the connector is disconnected with the engine running, will t cause damage? What levels do I have to look for?

Then, removing the ECU, how difficult is it and can it be opened for inspection? (assuming I have years experience with aerospace grade computer systems testing).

I will take any comments I can get.
Thanks
Hans
