Which hole to put it in..

Now that I have your attention, I'm looking for info on which hole to install my new h&r sway bars.

Used the search function but I could not find specific words of wisdom..

The inner hole is for tighter and outer for smoother. I'd love to minimize body roll with inner hole, but certainly don't want wheel skip or degraded ride.

I own a 2005 w203 sport sedan with 18" amo wheels and new bilstein comfort shocks.

Any suggestions or references much appreciated. Here she is..

New Kleeman headers

Could type grill with flat plastidip emblem. Should I plastidip grill too?? Also going to change to black headlights

Hand painted plastidip wheels with new center star; 18" wheels don't reduce ride quality but doesn't handle quit as sharp due to additional wheel weight I guess

Wheels came out nice!

Easy answer is start on the outside, see how you like it, and move in if you don't like the wallowing and want it crisper. Personally, I'd immediately go to the inner holes and deal with the ride consequences, but it sounds like you'd like to try to get an even balance of handling/ride.

Those MB 18" wheels are really going to compromise your plans, honestly. You've taken two steps forward and one step back. Need to swap them out for some 18's in the 17-18 lb range. You'll feel a pretty substantial difference.

So, how was the pizza at Chuck E Cheese?

Hey Buddy,
Well, those Amg wheels were free, and the tires have good tread and are high quality. Plus I think they look really nice. Actually ride improved, perhaps because tires are in better shape on the 18" wheels.

Was considering light wheels and new tires, not not sure I really want to spend 2k when I already have two sets of tires. But I did notice ride wasn't as sharp with 18" wheels, so I see your point!

Will probably try the inner tighter hole even though she may ride harder and tighter. Maybe I will like it if she rides harder..

Installed rear HR sway bar this weekend. It was very straightforward. Torqued end links 35 ft lbs and brackets to 25 ft lbs.

Handling does seem tighter but haven't driven a great deal to evaluate. Although I used the inner hole, thought to maximize stiffness, haven't noticed degraded ride quality.

Unbelievable while I was working I number into the coolant breather hose in the engine compartment and all the coolant spilled out. So before I can do a proper road test have to fix that first!!

Onto the front

Purchased the front H&R sway bar this weekend. Turns out I did indeed need the larger brackets and purchased them as well. In the pic, you can see the smaller brackets which I verified with the visible part number. Also decided on the bar with the 12mm end link hole because of what I have read on this forum for the sport model of our car, as well as rough measurements while under my car. Will let everyone know how the install goes, fitment, and ride! Hopefully if I put it in the ti

ghter hole in the front the ride will enjoyable just like when I put it in the tighter hole in the rear!

This is the smaller bracket for front right; had to purchase bigger bracket

If you can fit it in the tighter hole in the rear, the tighter front hole should generally be no problem.
