Instrument cluster swap

I would like to ask about 2 cases: first is swaping into W203 lifted cluster, second - swaping into W209 cluster. So:
1. Swaping into W203 lifted cluster:
If I change both cluster and radio (without GPS) into lifted version will it work correctly in my car? I mean: will cluster show information from radio (radio station, name of song etc.)? Will steering wheel buttons work correctly? Do I have to worry about fuel guage? Are there any differences in plugs? Are there any other problems?
2. Swaping into w209 cluster:
The same questions + does it fit perfectly? I heard there are slightly different plugs and it's necessery to redo them... is it true and is it difficult?
PS: I know about the problem with millage, so You don't have to write about it. I also want to apologize in advance for any mistakes I did in language. I also apologize, if some things was already discussed in detail, but I don't understand evefything perfectly (in English and in technical language )
Thank You in advance for Your answers!
PS2:I asked about it in already existing thread, but I think it is so old that it's dead and nobody visits there.

The w203 face-lift cluster and the w209 clusters will both have similar issues such as the switch of technology for the fiber wires. Also the fuel gauges I remember someone having issues with that I think it was on the older 01 fuel pumps as they used a different protocol or something like that.
My advice would be to find the posts about it as this has been done on here and they document issues. At the very least you are going to need someone that knows star very well to reprogram the new/used cluster and as you mentioned the odometer will be x's unless you buy a new cluster or change the chip over.

Thanks for response. I know it is well known issue, but other threads are so old, nobody visits them and I couldn't get any answer to my question there. Also a problem is that there are many completely different answers.
I wil put my problem this way:

I own W203, which was produced in 2003. I'm planning to swap instrument cluster to one from CLK (W209) and front cockpit panel with radio to one from W203 after lifting. My question is: is it going to work together? I mean will the cluster show radio information etc? Will I be able to change volume and radio stations by buttons on steering wheel? Will fuel guage work properly? I am aware that there might be a problem with millage.
Thank You very much in advance

If anybody knows anything I will appreciate every help
