2003 Mercedez C230 Sport sedan /Turbo
Mercedez Products or other brand Names
Hi, I bought my 2003 c230 sport sedan used and the dealer told me as well as when I go to get oil or antifreeze that to only use the MB oil and or antifreeze. I've been using a good synthetic oil but is there really any difference for either of those two products compared to other high quality products?

Use 229.5 approved motor oil (easiest to find is Mobil 1 0w40 European formula at Walmart in 5 quart containers for under $30 also get a nice MANN oil filter as they are the Supplier for MB) and 325 approved coolant. Some do use other coolants but you do coolant so infrequently the $20-30 at the dealer for MB approved coolant should be a no brainier. (BTW MB coolant is concentrate so you have to go to a store and pick up Distilled water for $1 to mix it properly)
