Installed GPS Command, but shows wrong position?

Hi All,
Just successfully installed OEM GPS to my 2005 w203, or at least I thought. But the nav is showing the wrong position? Checked number of satellites, and I get about 6, so I believe the antenna is functional. Guess I could do a hard reset and pull the radio fuse? Any ideas??

Nav working, and getting satellites, but wrong position? About a 2 blocks from my house? Any ideas?

Does it show the correct position when you are driving somewhere? Maybe the old map does not have your street and it shows the nearest one?

Did you have fun tearing the dash apart? I sure did, but had to do it twice because a unit from ebay came with a bricked nav dvd unit... Had to return and buy one from a salvage yard.

I fear the nav unit may be damaged. Shows my position about 1/4 mile away. For example, when I am in my driveway I give the unit my address to navigate and it tries to take me down the road to the next housing development.

When I opened the package from the eBay seller, the blue plug appeared slightly damaged/bent. I'm going to email seller and see about returning, but hope I can figure it out so I don't have to keep taking apart the dash, which is terrible..

I will remove a fuse and see what happens, also will post pics for you all to review..

Bummed..

Tried resetting Command by removing fuse as well as rebooting the system through menu. Still showing wrong GPS position. Looks like the unit must be damaged. Thinking the damaged blue plug is to blame..

Glad it worked out - and faster than I could chime in...

Sometimes, for no apparent reason mine will do the same thing. Earlier - I've tried all that you have....Now...I just give it 5/10 minutes in the drive and then...POP! It finds home and all is good.

Doesn't happen all the time...every so often...no idea why...

My car is docked in a bay below the house...so I have started shutting off COMAND/SIRIUS before entering the driveway - and then starting up the electronics once out on the road again - that has really helped the antenna(s) (or at least in my head) find their locks as I have seen almost no issues since starting this practice.

CONGRATS on COMAND...should have been OEM in my opinion as well as a digital HVAC controller...locate one of those (BUILD DATE SPECIFIC TO YOUR CAR) and install - you will really enjoy the look!

Just can't see paying that much for a climate control thingy :-) rather allocate those funds to new tires

BTW, how do you guys find the interface of inputting the address into the GPS?
I think it sucks @$$... Takes 10 minutes to crank that thing.
Also is there a way to control the volume of the navi prompts?
