Checkin' In with a prob at hand!

Hi all! ...hopefully this Forum will be as helpful as the one I'm in for my Landy, lots of knowledge, great write-ups and help!

For starters, I'm having probs with my wife's 2004 C320 Sedan and that low gear shifting jerking issue that I've read many people experience.

I went into a "savvy" indie shop last saturday after he first suggested to drain the transmission fluid, so he did and it came out pretty chocolate, I think my wife never had the transmission serviced.

While at it he checked that "pilot bushing" thingy people talk about and indeed was pretty oily, he said that might be the culprit and that he had to check the puter since oil finds its way up defying gravity.

He replaced the the "bushing" with a new one, cleaned up the connector, plugged everything back, replace the filter and the gasket, put everything back together, lowered the car, filled with I believe 4 bottles of fluid, then moved on to check the puter, and indeed some oil can be seen on the wires, very little on the connectors. Cleaned it all up and took it for a test drive, but I do still feel the jerking in low gears.

Did he do something wrong? did he miss something?... all was done with me there, so I pretty much can certify that he replaced, cleaned and ready all he said he was... and charged me $300... dunno if price is right or not, thing is that the problem still exists and the it's annoying... help will be very much appreciated.

The only way I know to get rid of the jerking temporarly is to have the transmission reprogramed. Isay temporary because after a few months it come back. Mercedes benz has probably the worst transmission of any car. And they do not care. they know about the problem but do not fix it. Someone needs to sue them
