Replacing engine mounts? Hydraulic, solid? What brand?
Hi,
I'm about to change the engine mounts on a 2002 C220 CDI (I believe have never been changed).
What should I use hydraulic or solid? Which ones come from factory?
Im considering LEMFORDER (hydraulic, aprox 45€ each) or SASIC (solid, cheapest, 30€ each), I've heard of CORTECO being nice.
Also, while searching for parts online I've found some say "Green Marking" or "Magenta Marking", any ideas of what this may be?
Best regards

Hey-----use EPC to define the correct replacement part--then use the OEM part and get on with your life!!
PS----change the tranny mount also!!
Post the VIN!!

Why not just use OEM. They are much more expensive, but since mounts are such a critical part the extra cost should be worth it in long run.
Do you also have a 1.8l? How do you plan to lift the engine? Saw that some guys where jacking up the oil pan 1" and that did the trick, just like for tranny mounts when you jack up transmission pan.
Have any tips on install of mounts??
