AC not working, temp sensor?

2005 C55 AMG; 2000 CLK320 Cabriolet, 2000 C230 Kompressor & 2001 ML430
AC not working, temp sensor?
This is for 05 c55amg
system is full, checked by mechanic today.
replaced the AC pressure switch (2038211592) at the condensor
the Compressor and all components are a year old.
Star diagnostics shows that the car is sending the signal to the compressor, and a meter shows that cable has a signal, but its not getting cold.
Gauges on the system do not show the high side increasing when the AC compressor is supposed to be on.
What I did find is that the ambient temperature sensor is damaged and not sending a signal all the time.
STAR showed a temperature sensor at 0°, its probably that sensor?
Will the broken ambient temperature sensor cause the AC to not turn on?
