if u remove all the screws and clips, u will gain access to ur bulbs and lenses... there are two screws that hold the the foglight assembly... u will need 8mm screwdrivers... passenger side is easy, but driver side is bit harder cuz there is not much space...

if u can't do it, u can take it to any bodyshop for minimal labor charge.

A 203 826 01 90 Clear Foglight Lens (Driver Side)
A 203 826 02 90 Clear Foglight Lens (Passenger Side)

Did you get the lenses through the dealer? How much were they? Do you simply just swap the lense, or the whole fog light assembly?

yes, dealer sells for about 25 per side.
it's just lenses swap and not the entire assembly.

cheap alternative to clear fogs. Maybe.

Hi folks,

Here's a cheap alternative to getting clear fogs. I think it should work but I haven't fitted it for myself.

You could buy the clear fog lens from the MB dealer for about 23 bucks each and just replace your existing fog lens with the clears. You probably will not have the correct light pattern but if you want it just for looks and don't really use your fogs anyway, this is a cheap alternative to buying a new set of clear fogs for over 200 bucks. The lens I am referring to is just the front glass part of the fog light housing.

clear fogs

Actually, they do have it. At least, they do have the clear glass lens. Just ask for the 2004 c-class w203 fogs that goes with the bi-xenon headlights. I went to the dealer today to pick up a clear lens for the right side since I cracked mine somehow. I already have the clear fogs and so I am just replacing the lens of the broken one. The part number is 203-826-02-90. That's for the right side. I don't know what the left side part number is. I got mine from Rusnak in Arcadia, CA.

The reflectors are slightly different in the clear foglight fogs...the bulbs are covered in clear foglight fogs and the suround in between of the glass and the reflector is chrome in a clear foglight fog...

By changing out the lenses only one gets stuck with a useless lightpattern in the fogs (not that these fogs are extremely important)...

link to picture of the difference between genuine clear foglights (top set) and regular foglights with clear lenses (bottom set)...

greetingz,

Clear fogs expensive WHY?

I was doing a search for a pair of clear fogs and found they are so expensive ($350) compaired to OE fogs ($110). Is there any source for these at a more realistic price?
