Hi
I'm a newbee to Mercedes, bought a 2001 c180 w203 and have been very happy with the vehicle for the last 18 mths until................
Just recently I had an alternator fail. I replaced both the alternator and battery. On restarting engine started first time and alternator was pushing out a full 14.6 amps. The engine was running smoothly for about 5 mins then went int 'limp home' mode with no throttle response at all.
battery still 12.5v engine off 14.6v engine running.
Does anyone out there have any ideas to correct?
