Pending OBDii fault versus current faults

Hi There,

I just purchased a 2006 Merc W203 C180K with (I'm assuming) the M271 engine . (I am in South-Africa so the year model might differ in other countries). I have 2 issues that I need help on

I recently took my ELM327 OBDii scanner + Torque Pro Android software and ran a fault scan to see if there are any issues. There were no current issues listed and no historical issues listed. However there were 2 pending issues. What is pending versus current issues?

I have listed the pending faults below, but for now it looks like I need to got through he wiring to see if there are perhaps any loose connections, is this my first step?

P0020: "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 2)
Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit (Bank 1)

Can anyone please give me advice on the above?

Also, when following the vehicles owners manual's steps, the Oil level measurement menu does not show at all.
Is the manual in correct? or is the South-african version of the car's software different than other countries?

I have tried many options i saw on the internet but nothing works, no oil check menu option appears anywhere.

Any help here?
