Lookin to get rims but.....
I just came across a guy who manufactures aftermarket wheels. Not a big name brand but seems like deal too good to pass up. I was told any 18's are around $60 to $70 a piece, isnt that cheap? But the thing is I really dont want to lower my car. I have had my previous car slammed and had problems driving up driveway and parking. Front kit all cracked and $h!t, it was just a terrible experience. Esp when I have a mercedes now, how ugly it would look if I scratch up the front bumper. Any suggestions?
Anyone got 18's without lowering, pls post some pics. Thanks in advance.

wow $60-$70 for rims is REALLY REALLY cheap...i would like some more info on this as i would be very interested for that price. you dont have to lower it with 18's but there will be a small gap. you dont either have to drop it subtantially just enough to close the gap i feel is more then adequate. please let me know if you get any more info on the rims. thanks

If someone said something about too good of a deal to pass up I'm thinking something along the lines of 500$ to 700$ per rim, when you say 60$ to 70$ per rim, that's a deal to pass up for good! I'm real skeptical about this, too fishy.

Hes the president of this company who has his factory in China manufacturing wheels. His warehouse is 50K Sq. Feet with over 10,000 wheels stock. He is giving me this price as there is some business relation between him and the company I work for. Well like I said is not a name brand, and is just about right for cost per wheel.

I think if you have the sport suspension the car will look ok with 18s. with my 18 on my car my car was higher off of the ground than with the regular 16s. I also have the regular suspension so it looked kind of funny. Sorry i have no pics of the rims on my car

$60 - $70 per wheel is damn cheap, but i will be very very skeptical about the quality. But hey, buy them and see how it goes, won't hurt that much if they get damaged.

made in China eh?...i would worry about the quality of those rims. The replicas I got are from Taiwan, great quality. I got'em for cheap too (personal connection), but not your $60-70 cheap.

To answer your question about as to whether to lower your car I had the same problem when I had my c240, I bought a set of 18's after market rims and had not lowered the car and IMO my car looked stupid I put some eibachs in and it made it look a whole lot better as for it being slammed it only lowered the car about 1.3 inches so I did not have any problem with scraping I even had a amg body kit on the vehicle and if I am correct the front bumper is a little lower than the oem ones, but like all lowered cars you have to be more careful going over bumps and potholes. Sorry I do not have any pics of the w203, sold the car in Feb. Hope this helps a little, but please do pm or email me with more info about those wheels!!!
