2001 C240 Sedan Common Faults After 15 years
Common Faults (some are repaired):
1) Brake booster brake pedal air noise
2) Battery Dead and Fuse 52 blown
3) Stepper motor dashboard noise
4) Parking brake plastic lever
5) V belt
6) Starter brushes worn
7) Airbag fault
8) Back door lock mechanism not staying in lock position
9) Oil cooler leaking oil badly
10) Air conditioner dead
11) Radio antenna falling
12) vacuum pipes in the engine cracking
13) ESP fault due to throttle flap carbon dirt
14) Crank Shaft Position Sensor
14) Cam shaft position sensor
15) Cylinder coil housing crack
16) Water stuck due to debris and leaves in the front fuse box and brake booster area
17) EIS going faulty
