Steering wheel shimmy when braking
Installed new Pagid pads, and new rotors. Front. Ordered from AutohausAZ.com. Simple installation. 2005 C230 Sport, W203 body. No shimmy on old pads.
I AM NOT AN EXPERT, just a weekend warrior.
New rotors started shimmying within 30 days. I installed new lower control arms to see if that would help. It settled shimmying a bit, but it eventually it got worse.
Returned rotors. Good customer service from Autohaus. They sent new Bosch (upgrade). Installed rotors. Worked great initially, then started shimmying after 3 weeks.
I am not sure where to go from here. I CANNOT image getting two bad sets of rotors. I've installed brakes and rotors on a number of other vehicles. Never had this issue. There was never a problem on the brakes/rotors I had on there before. Owned the car for 3 years. Purchased with 99k miles. Now at 143k.
