So-Cal Benzo Newby...
What's up, everybody! On Wednesday (3/17), I just took delivery to my new C230 Kompressor Sedan last week. I'm a newby to Benz, but not to Automobile Message Boards (So no need to worry about me causing any unecessary drama or starting threads just to boost my posting numbers - i.e. I know how to use the Search function...lol).
I just wanted to drop in a new thread to all you C Class owners to introduce myself and hopefully I'll be gaining knowledge by the minute about Performance/Appearance Upgrades, as I once did when I had my Mazda MX-6. I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you who are knowledgable about our car(s). I've already met Harris, from Harton Motorworks and discussed some parts with him (He's a cool guy).
I've been reading a lot the past couple months (I've been waiting for the car since the 25th of January) and I'm going through debates in my head of what upgrades I'm planning on doing first. For those have upgrades done, I must say before going on, all your cars look PHAT! Crazy nice! If any of you have suggestions, I'm very open to hearing them. I'm looking to do the most affordable upgrades first, as well as the upgrades that won't void any warranty that I have on the car. First one I'm thinking of is possibly the Lorinser Roof Spoiler and the Carlsson Rear Deck Lid Spoiler (Although saving up for the 19" Brabus VI 2 piece Monoblocks sounds really tempting). Any insight all of you have with regard to which upgrades void/do not void Benz Warranty, it would be great to hear from you as well.
Well, that's all I've got to say right now (or have time to say, since I'm at work), but it'd be nice to hear from any of you, so don't be shy. Drop me a line. Holla. Whatever. Thanks, in advance, for the time any of you take to read my Thread.

Finally a noob that knows the rules and how to play the game. (j/k)
Welcome to the forum.
You'll find lots of valuable info and will mostly likely figure out who's got what mod bug. *cough, cough* sunman *cough, cough* is one of those. One of these days his car will be declared illegal because of all those European, non DOT approved, mods he is doing.
Enjoy

Welcome Drex, well not welcome since you been reading for a bit...but-you know I did the same read for months before my first post:p
I think it would be helpful to tell us what options you have on your car before we can suggest what mods you can do (ex bixenon, sport kit, brake etc).
Since you are in so cal, I would DEFINITELY advise you to go to the So Cal meets Nor Cal meet in santa barbara on April 10. You will get PLENTY of ideas

Thanks for the welcome! I'm pretty much running stock right now with all the factory installed items I have in my sig.
Only reason I was looking into getting the Lorinser Roof Spoiler and Carlsson Lip Spoiler is because my homeboy owns a body shop in So-Cal, so I know the painting/mounting won't cost me an arm and a leg like some other body shops.

LorinserCClass - HRE's definitely look Bad A$$! Where'd you get them? Somewhere in SoCal, by chance? I'm very familiar with the HRE's cuz my cuzin was gonna get some anodized HRE's on his 2000 Mitsu. Galant.

Welcome .... I am in So Cal too, and I am looking for the exact mods you are trying to get, i.e. roof/deck spoiler. Think you can hook me up with painting?

If you still have them, by the time I get my return, we can talk then. Plus, not sure I wanna go with rims until I can drop it with full coilovers. Thanks for the 411, tho.

Thanks again for all the greetings! Kinda strange being on a different board than Mx6.com (my former car), but at the same time I'm pretty hype 'bout having a Benz-o now!
You all are being really nice now, until I **** somebody off!...hehehe...j/k.
Aight everybody, I'm at "the grind" (a.k.a. work), so I gotta bounce, but thanks again for all the warm welcome(s) and look forward to chattin' wid all of ya more.
