My son has a 2003 C320 4matic that has recently exhibited an issue with the windshield wipers stopping mid-windshield when they are turned off. He took it to a local independent that diagnosed the wiper motor as the culprit and quoted $750+ for the repair. He also provided a long list of SAM codes that he pulled from the car. In looking at all the on-line SAM decoders I could find - not one single code he provided is listed. Can anyone help me with these codes?

Mechanic stated on invoice "cleared codes, unfortunately did not make wiper motor come back online so diagnosed wiper motor is faulty." Sounds suspicious to me. Would clearing the code potentially fix the issue? Given the quoted repair cost, the seemingly nonexistent codes and the diagnostic method - I'm questioning the skills of this independent ...

You can't find them because they are MB body fault codes(germane to MB SDS system) with no OBD cross reference, therefore you need a MB tester in simulation mode to go back and define all the faults---that's a lot of time that I do not have!!


You have a bad motor fix it or live with it and stop whining!!
