Is this a Lease, or are you financing?
What condition is the Explorer in? Do you own it out-right?
What is the trade in value of the Explorer? You can use www.kbb.com for this.
What is the cost of tax and title where you are?
Once you get this info, figure out what the MSRP for the MB is, plus or minus your trade in, minus what's left over from tax and title. This is what you would be financing. Do the same thing with the Invoice for the car.
Take that amount and check out some loan rates (APRs).
You should be able to figure out if it's a good deal.
Assuming that leasing through MB is probably on the high side, you can probably knock off about $100 from here, so let's say $417.
Now if you can get the car below MSRP (which you should be able to do): Let's knock the price down to $30,640, MBUSA still gives me a lease rate of $452. Again, if this is on the high side, let's call it $352.
Considering that part of you $2000 down will cover tax and title, plus you will be upside down a bit on the Explorer (trade in value is much lower than private party value), then I would say YES, the deal that you are being offered sounds like a good deal.
