inquiry about w203 gear selector
I own a c220 cdi year 2001 and have to replace the gear selector, the part number is a2672524. My question is, is the gear selector from a american mercedes c240 2003 ( part number a2032678124) the same as mine?. this is because is cheaper for to buy it from ebay USA than from the dealer or any other place in my country

I have replaced that gear selector in my CDI and I think I used the same part which I had in my car (ending 2524)

I bought it for $130 from Ebay, dealer wanted $1300, there is one for sale in ebay.co.uk for £134 right now (A 203 267 25 24)
It is not too hard DIY, there is video attached. Reserve approx. 1h and 3 beers.

Been through this. Thought, how different can they be?
Early versions have wires coming out with connectors on the wires.
Later versions have just connectors on the module.
Pulled on from a 2003 1st, it worked for a little while, but I wasn't able to connect
both connectors, so shift surround didn't show the gear I was in but did on the dash.
Before long though, it was not working and going into limp mode...again.
Parked and waited....till a 2002 C240 showed up in picknpull. (or was it 2001?)
Nabbed it and returned the other one. Was exact replacement and still working...
$30. But had to go to Richmond...which is like Oakland but worse....
Whats the pn # on yours? Should be a 203XXXXXXX pn.
There's a 2002 C240 at the pick n pull closeby....
