2002-W203 Radio Diagram
Hello,
I'm trying to install a MOT Carkit but the wires on the back of my Stock radio doesn't match the diagram that is available. Does anyone know which pin (color) is the ignition and mute wire on the newer models? Thanks
The wire layout on mine is:
pin1 = Empty
pin2 = Black/Green Wire (??)
pin3 = Black/Yelloe Wire (??)
pin4 = Red/Blue Wire (Constants 12V)
pin5 = Black Wire (??)
pin6 = Empty
pin7 = Empty
pin8 = Brown (Ground)
Thanks!!

Ok...since no one replied...I decided to take the risk and tab on the pin3 for mute. I am assuming that since they didn't change the layout for pin 4 and pin 8 for Constant 12V and Ground...they might not change pin 3 either.
Voila! Got it working! Pin 3 is still the mute line.
Just thought I should FYI.

Hi,
I found out the same thing you did; however, I cannot find a triggered 12+ wire. Does anyone know?
Also, what does the green wire with black stripe do? And what does the black wire do? Is one of them to switch the power on to the antenna?
Thanks

I found out the same thing.
Red is +12V and Brown is Ground, but that is about it.
Is there any way to get ignition power and is the 6310i Mercedes phone kit possible to connect to aftermarket radio?
If I connect my new radio the phone kit stops working.

Since I don't know how to take the cigarette lighter/cup holder assembly apart, I wouldn't be able to find out. But if you do know, you can check which color wire is attached to the cigarette lighter (besides the ground). This is probably the wire for the 12v ignition.
Hope this helps.
