It can be done!
A friend of mine (no BS) had this done to his car awhile back before he turned his car in. Somehow he got in touch with this guy through somebody else who could do it. I dont know how, so dont ask! The guy pulled up, popped the hood and, plugged in what looked like a pda with a wire to the cars diagnostic port. Then he punched a few buttons and said goodbye. It took less than 5min. In case you didnt figure this is really ilegal. DONT DO IT!

My only point is that it CAN be done.

If this thread weren't so hilarious (because it doesn't work) this thread would be locked (because we don't propagate procedures that suggest breaking the law).

No, I haven't. And in calling around to a couple of members who have posted here that they tried it and it works, I discovered that they haven't REALLY tried it, either. They're just playing along with the joke.

Curious...would this same gizmo of runnin circles work for a W211, say mine??..haha..

If this works, this is crazy. You can definitely get caught when they look up the info in the Benz's computer. My boy works at the Benz shop and told me that they can look at the computer and see if you've been abusive to it in terms of rippin up the streets with it...who knows though!!...
