The Radio of my car is stacked in "MUTED"
Hello guys,
I have recently bought a 2006 C280 4-Matic from a private seller and since it was my first Mercedes purchase experience I didn't realize that the MUTED radio could be a big headache.
the radio is stacked in MUTED and no sound at all, it shows the normal radio screen for less than a second when I put the fob in switch and turn in to position 2 and 3 and then MUTED and it stays all the time like that.
I did the following with the help of searching the forum and old threads but none of them worked:
1. removed and reset the fuse with orange color jumper in the trunk.
2. disconnected the battery for more than 1 hour and connected again but didnt work. (the radio didnt asked for code though !)
3. connected another 12V battery using Parallel configuration to get higher Amps but also didnt work. however its own battery is also looks new and it is
in good condition and being tested by mechanic showing 12.5V and in normal range.
the sound system is Harmon/Kardon.
the muted button is not pressed.
turning the volume is not useful.
the CD changer is operating when I remove and put but the CD cases.
the main CD mode looks operating because it ejects and loads the CD.
I tried alot to get it fixed but nothing positive.
I appreciate in advance any advise and information you guys have about this issue or have been experiencing it and got it fixed.
Thank you
