How to adjust the subwoofer on W203 station
Hello, I just bought my second W203 station wagon, a 2001 Avantgarde 270CDI. It has the original Becker 6011 radio still, with a Bose subwoofer in the very rear of the station part, as far as I can tell it is wired into the rear speakers.
The sub has its own power amp which is adjusted (x-over frequency and level) very poorly so I thought I was going to tweak the knobs... except there are no knobs to be seen...
A sub that is wired into the full range signal of the rear speakers has a x-over filter somewhere.
Anyone has experience with this? Must I really remove the entire amp to reach the adjustment knobs? Or are they hidden away somewhere where you can just feel your way around the amp and tweak away?
Or am I totally wrong and does it run on a separate subwoofer send from the radio?
