As it won't be possible anylonger to be the first USer with 2005 updated taillights in the W203 coupe...it is still possible and not too late to be one of the very first.

The lights still aren't available through the MB dealership - but for 225USD one can soon be getting a set of original mercedes benz updated 2005 taillights as I have several sets in stock.

Here is how the taillights look on Mark Cummin's coupe:

C230 Sport Coup

Considering people paid nearly 200 bucks for the AMG 'spoiler', thats quite the deal. I might be tempted, but at this point, it's not something that knocks my socks off looks wise.

But....then I wasn't convined I 'needed' AMG brakes until
I kept seeing pics of them, and eventually, I had to have 'em.
I mean it's a safety thing right?

At this point, so few coupeys around anyway....
no one would know mine was different....I still run into people seeing mine is seeing one for the very first time.
Have to see more pics.....especially on a blue coupe.

What about the new grill....is that coming too?
Ah....Xenon's, grill and tails. Now THAT would be cool.

I posted what I found. And its new stuff. We all know that Steve sells good merchandise. But you'll have to admit that in a lot of cases its seconds. Now, there is nothing wrong with that. I myself have bought from Steve. But people should know what the new stuff costs so that they can make an educated decision.

...erm...it is not that these lights have been used in any car...and the set that I ordered from our dealer is still on hold as MB does not have them available yet...
256 euro for a set - 27 euro for shipping - makes 353USD for a MB boxed set that isn't available yet.

i dont care. $353 USD is a small price to make the rear of my coupe look better. I never cared for the lights on it now. I love the new look.

True Steve, they are not available until the launch of the updated model. But at the same token; if you buy from a dealer new you can request the necessary paperwork to get your 16% VAT back. You just have to get customs signature, return the paperwork and wait to get your money back on the parts minus the shipping. This could be a savings of approximately $50. Its a hassle for most but the option is there.

Tail are only slightly different on the W/S 203. Barely noticeable unless they are next to each other. As far as I could tell, the new are slightly darker red and the internal reflective pattern is slightly different. Perhaps at night they are different as well. Overall, not anywhere near as much different as the CL203 - which look fantastic btw. The new CL203 tails, combined with the 8.5 inch rear, should help the back of the car tremendously.
