I helped a friend install some 85W umnitza vizu's yesterday into his c230 kompressor. took some comparison pics, they aren't HIDs, but not bad for $25!
what do you guys think?

Funny how so many people mistake color temperature for intensity using up-front digi cam shots as evidence. "Bluer" is not equal to "brighter", as a matter of fact - quite the opposite in case of tinted bulbs.

Good luck with 85W bulbs - I hope your friend maintains the lenses clean of road dust to keep them unmelted for at least a year.

Look pretty good, the ultimate test is whether you get more light projection, i find that most aftermarket bulbs arent as bright as they look, OEM's are still brighter, the only thing thats higher is OEM-Xenon or aftermarket HID kits (pain in the *******g a$$ if you ask me)

Vadim,
I've found the best way to avoid dust on your lenses is to get stongard
The light output of the 85W is better than stock, although I'm sure 85W for 85W the stock halogen would be better. The benefit of this IMHO is gaining better light color without sacrificing output.

The color of the light is actually about 4500k, very similar to that of an HID bulb, which shows up very white It doesn't have the intensity of an HID bulb though.

well, you can get PIAA if you are willing to spent $70 dollar for two bulbs. They are as bright as the stock halogen bulb. My bro's got a set for his 528, too bad they don't last as long. Now it's off to the $35 dollar set of aftermarket bulbs that works not that bright, but good enough.

I have those on my car too and I'm happy with them, for the price, it's a great product and has a 1 yr warranty. But I wouldn't use anything above the stock bulb wattage.

I used the 80w bulbs for a couple of months, no wiring harness melted but the stongard in my fogs started to show burn marks in the middle, went back to stock wattage since then, output is still better than stock bulbs.
