Toy car on the road.
The snow is off the roads, they are cleaning up the sand and salf of the highways and byways, and the bulbs are blooming!
Time to get the Firebird out of winter storage.
I have a lovingly cared for '68 firebird 400 convertible. It's dark green with chrome wheels, auto, mosly stock, and has 92,000 miles on the clock. Goes like the hammers of hell, and sucks gas like the Exxon Valdez. But what a fun summer car!!
My new coupe is about 6 weeks from delivery, so this will be my distraction until it arrives.
Who has more fun than we do??

I guess this thread will be moved pretty soon....
By the way, I once had the "sister"-car of yours. It was a -68 Camaro. Accelerator got stuck in the floor-mat, resulting in over-reving and a broken engine... But I did have some fun moments with that car.
When I was 11 years old my Dad let me start up his 1966 Peugeot 404 with Kugelfischer fuel injection, and he was not there (his mistake!). So I floored the throttle (oops) and started it - the car must have hit 7500 rpm for a few seconds before I realised what was going on. The car and engine survived that abuse with no problem.
Then when I was 21 and driving my own 1967 Peugeot 404 Coupé, also with Kugelfischer fuel injection, the throttle cable somehow got hung up at a stoplight, and when it happened, the engine revved at 7000+ rpm (this car had a tachometer) for about 10 seconds before I could open the hood and disengage the stuck cable. Once again, there no damage to the engine.
By the way, the "official" redline of these 1618 cc Peugeot injection engines is 5880 rpm
404 KF2 is better than Camaro, haha
