problem with rear door locking

problem with rear door locking
I was on my way from DC to virginia tech this weekend (4 hour trip) when my friend decides that he needs to answer a nature call. SO i pull into the rest stop and he tries to manually unlock the rear door when the door lock just comes right off.. i thought it was just a screw that i could fix it easily...i couldn't find the screw that it attaches to..
then i decided to check if the car still locks correctly and when i lock the car... it doesn't appear to lock that 1 rear door. if you try an open the door, it pops open with no problems..and all the other doors stay locked...
i am not sure what to do because there really isn't a MB dealer close to campus.. so i will have to wait till monday to call the dealer and have them look at it...
anyone have this problem? do you think i will have to pay for it? i am pretty sure my friend didn't just yank the door lock with all his might....
any ideas or suggestions would be awesome
