Arrrgh, I managed to drop a set of vicegrips between the radiator fan and the engine block and can reach down to get them out

Is it possible to remove the tray on the underside and get access that way? If so can someone post a diagram? (I'm waiting on my workshop manual dvd to be shipped) and what tools I need?

The front panel is a no brainer-----simply remove the parameter fasteners---don't hurt yourself!!

The tray is very easy to remove. Should be a few 8mm hex bolts. You don't even to remove the entire panel or raise the car. The 4 bolts at the front should be enough to lower the panel a bit. Then reach in there and pull out the tool. Good luck.
