Poll - How is u'r C Class?
Thanks,
Exam23
oxygen sensor replaced
engine harness replaced
engine ECU replaced/upgraded (engine was revving slightly at idle)
all problems were fixed smoothly and quickly
after first 6 months:
flawless
I had mine for like 3 yrs. Disaster electrically. Fuses/bulbs go out frequently, squeaking all over, 2 new trannies(1 voluntarily though =p)2 new sunroofs, 3 new rear shades, seat belt locks broke etc etc. Of course everything was taken care of but now that I think of it I shouldnt have to go through that with my car. It makes me angry, but also teaches me a lesson to NEVER buy a first year car.
Wow. You had 2 trannies replaced too? The lights are a nightmare. They were burning out every other week.
yup lucky I am a patient person...but man I DONT want to go through sh*t like that again. YOu sold your car right??

No man. Lemon law baby! If your car wasn't so modded out, I would suggest the lemon law for you too. I bought my car in Dec. 2000 and am finally shutting the door on this case on Friday. Hopefully I won't be going to Auto Stealer so much with the new car. Where did you buy your E? AS had a ripoff price for the CLK so I went to Calabasas.
Calabasas is full of sales people that want to make a quick buck off of you. They dont want to haggle otherwise they think you are poor like Billy Wu the financial officer there(yeah I called him out punk *** motherf*ker). There inventory is crap too. Only reason I bought a car there is because my buddy worked his *** off for a killer deal for me, otherwise I woulda been long gone.

... I remember I got suckered in to going to Fletcher Jones. I was there for 4 hours and drove back home in the same car. They'll take your keys to appraise your car and the keys will "magically" disappear for a little while. F*ckers.
HAHA! Oldest trick in the book!! Dayumm I woulda been pissed!
Rear sunshade replaced (would not close properly)
Both keys replaced (would not open/lock doors/trunk)
- Sunroof stoped working.
- BAS-ABS warning lights.
- Check Engine light
- Blown head gasket.
- Major electrical problems.
- Car pulling left.
- Bushings replaced.
- Cracked steering wheels buttons.
- Glove compartment wont open.
- Power steering gone.
- 4th gear problems.
- panaroma roof still not fix properly.
- Fog lights stopped working. (locator lights)
- Bulbs keep burning out.
I might have forget to list few more things since i have so much problems with mine. maybe it is time for a new car.
Passenger headrest rattles. Bending the rods did not do anything.
Occasionaly I get a LOW Beam, L warning. Only way to get the light on is to turn car off and on again.
After spirited driving I hear thumping noises from the rear of the car.
Droning from the engine from 2.5K-3K RPM in 4th,5th and 6th gear under load.
Dark Cloth Trim at the top of the driver door coming loose every other week or so. Pushing it back keeps it in place for a while.
The steering wheel makes a "click" noise when I push the left side of it. It does not do it all the time. It seems that it has get loose first and then it "clicks" back into place. Way to reproduce is to basically grab the wheel with both hands and pull towards you and then push away from you, it will "click". During regular driving this happens all the time.
The instrument cluster area "buzzes" when driving over harsh asphalt. By that I mean the asphalt that looks grainy with grooves in it. This won't be easy to reproduce since it only happens on the grainy kind of asphalt.
All in all, my coupe's been great!

driver window wind noise -- dealer can' fix
parcel shelf rattle -- dealer fixed
squeak in driver seat -- being fixed now
rattle in rearview mirror -- being fixed now
rattle in platic seatbelt adjusters -- being fixed now
All minor, but none should be there in a MB.
