my friend from dtmpower.org hooked up a deal on xenons for $400. He can get them in blue, purple, or white. Are you guys interested? If there's interest we can set up a group buy for those of us who missed the last one. Oh yeah, that's the price shipped too!

I am wondering if those Xenons will work normally without any problems, coz i bought a set for $400 that inorder to turn them on, I have to switch the light on, put the key into the ignition, turn it all the way but without starting the engine, waiting for a couple of seconds, then i can turn the engine on. And what sucks is if i want to turn the lights on while i am driving, i can't, i have to stop and turn off the engine and do the same instructions.
Sorry if i made u bored, but i just want to know in order to avoid the same problem from happening.

i'll poke around the dtmpower page and see what the response has been like on these lights. i'll try to see if they have had any trouble with these kits. From what i understand they should be of equal quality as to whatever HIDs4less is selling. I only want to put quality products in my car too. So rest assured, if it's not a good deal i won't get them either.

Sorry, but i didn't understand what u meant by changing the setting? By the way, the system that i have installed is not the one that u were talking about earlier.

The dealer has a laptop that plugs into the diagnostic port that lets them set parameters for the car. There is an Xenon Present option that must be on if you install real HID xenon lights in your car. If you don't then you will have to continue doing what you are doing to turn the lights on. If you search around there's a post with pictures of the screens so you can show your dealer as most won't know what you are talking about. My dealer quoted me 1/2 labor to do it, some won't do it at all. The reason is because the halogens draw 55 watts and the HID Xenons draw 35 watts and the ECU detects this as a problem throw a fault code and shuts the lights off. You figured out the loop hole that allows you to turn them on while the car is off.

OK I couldnt wait and I bought them... I will post details when they arrive. I guess ill play guinea pig. It was $390 COD to my door. Im crossing my fingers. They are suppose to arrive next week and as soon as they come im installing them myself. Lets see what happens.
