Where can I find struts for '04 C320 4Matic Wgn?

I searched the forum and online. I can't find a replacement pair of struts for my 2004 C320 4Matic Wagon (non-sport suspension). Any suggestions?

sounds like a stupid question from a lazy idiot! So I figured I would rub your nose with some simple RM European parts..
Well well well.. RM european doesnt have any.
www.mbpartstore.com has only the right front strut 203-320-60-30 not sure if the left is the same. It says its for sedan and wagon 4matic but
trying to cross reference to RM European sedan did not work out.. so um.. this is weird, I didn't get very far!

May I suggest you call RM European?

Wow. That's pretty harsh, but I do appreciate the vindication that I'm not quite as dumb as I seem. I'll take your advice and give RM European a call.

If anyone else has any suggestions, I would very much like to hear them.

I didn't mean to be harsh. .simply admitting that you have a very valid question. Not obvious what the parts are. Sorry if my sense of humour came across wrong. Try getting the actual part numbers from you local MB dealer.. a quote perhaps! then you can go to various oftermarket sites and cross reference the OEM MB part numbers.

C320 struts

I have a 2005 C320 4matic that could probably use new struts, but I found the same problem. There does not seem to be an aftermarket source for these. The RWD fronts struts are a different story, but for 4matic you need to get them from a MB source.
There are several on ebay with the best price around $231 each, but make sure you know what they look like. Some sellers claim theirs will fit 4matic, but the picture shows the RWD struts

I also need to replace front struts on a 2004 c240 4matic wagon and found these parts on www.genuinemercedesparts.com that verify they are the exact ones for a 240 4matic wagon.
Strut, RIGHT $191.00
Part Number: 203-320-60-30
https://www.genuinemercedesparts.com...bC12Ni1nYXM%3D

Strut, LEFT $191
Part Number: 203-320-59-30
https://www.genuinemercedesparts.com...bC12Ni1nYXM%3D

What i dont know is if replacing just the strut will ALSO require replacing of the many supporting parts here (shim, bearing, mount cap, upper spring insulator, coil spring) ???
https://www.genuinemercedesparts.com...ber=2033220087

Sadly there is not much info on 4matic strut / shock replace or DIY's as i've look all over the web and found nothing....thanks in advance to anyone reading this who can comment about additional partners required or to at least check when replacing these front struts on c240 4matic so i can order them as well ??? I'm at 118k miles on my 2004 and dealer did confirm mine needed replacement and quoted 1700 but would not provide me parts or explain exactly what would be replaced which is BS....

I couldn't find any aftermarket fitments for my 4matic. I ended up getting them from one of my usual places - can't remember which(RM Euro, FCP, ECS), but they were the OEM Sachs shocks. They were cheaper than the dealer, but still not a bargain.
I was going to forget about it, but one of the front springs broke, so I went ahead and did the struts too. The springs were the same all over again, though. No aftermarket parts, unless you want lowering springs and coilovers. I bought the springs from a Mercedes dealer online, and even they had trouble figuring out the right springs. I provided the VIN number and they still sent the wrong ones and had to exchange them.
And yes, you might need the bearing too. I took my strut assembly to a local garage so they could re-use the bearing. but it fell apart when they disassembled it.

One of the issues with the front struts is that there is a tiny aluminium retaining ring that you screw in at the top. You need a special tool for this, but after years this thing got too corroded in place and I could not get it out. I had to cut the strut itself to get things apart. At that point I changed the springs too. There are small paint marks that determine what type they are.

The special tool thingy I think is only for the RWD version. I bought one to do my 4matic, but it wasn't necessary, there is just a plain nut at the top. Note that you can't see the nut until the strut is out of the car.

You don't need the special tool for that nut. Simply spin the tip portion of the strut with an Allen wrench.
