Overhead Console Sniffer fans keeps blowing - Part question
My overhead console for most of the '02 C320's life has always made a slight humming sound. I used a meter and notice there was a slight battery drain (not really that much compared to my seat control model malfunction!), it got worse in the winter months when I left it parked for 10 to 14 days with a rough start. Disconnecting the overhead console dropped the drain down to nearly nothing, except for normal CAN bus activity.
Anyways, My car currently has MB Part A203 820 1401 / 7D43 for the overhead console control unit.
However, according to EPC (MB), the updated part is A203 820 62 01 / 7D43
So to clarify:
A203 820 14 01 / 7D43 (Unknown date)
A203 820 62 01 / 7D43 (A 2004 part) (According to the sticker)
The ES2 codes are the same.
Will that part work, since MB is reporting it's an updated part?
