blower motor

Hey everyone,

I am having a little issue with my heat. I just picked up an 03 C240 with 94k on it. I just replaced the motor regulator today and now I can not control the speed of the fan or even shut it off. With the key out the fan continues to run. this forces me to pull the power connector out of the unit so as to not kill my battery. Any ideas ?

Were you having the same issues before replacement? Are you sure they gave you the correct part #?

when I bought the car 2 weeks ago the motor was on for 10 seconds off 20 then back on. the dumb dealer wired in a switch in the glove box to over ride the issue. I removed all that connected everything correctly but now the motor wont shut off.

if you replaced the regulator for the blower motor, then you still have a few options.. More than likely the A/C pushbutton control panel is faulty

I was thinking that may be the problem as the heat selector and the diverter knob work but the speed does not

not a merc
Recheck your wiring!
Is regulator new or 2nd hand?
Disconnect the signal wire to regulator if the fan still runs your regulator is faulty.

I had the same issue and it was my regulator. I had purchased one off of eBay that was supposed to be a match to my car buy all it did was make my blower motor run continuously. When it was swapped with a different regular everything worked as it should. In my instance the wrong regulator had a maroon color on it and the right one was blue and a little more expensive.
