Factory xenon swap question
I've searched but haven't found this specifically , what can be done as far as putting the pre face lift factory xenons ( non bi xenon) in a pre face lift halogen car. Mines an 02 and I can't justify the cost of bi xenon even used but have found many deals on sets of the fluted lens xenons. Will it be plug and play or do I need any software updated? I've searched and searched but I guess no one would take the time to do this swap

If it's anything like the bi-xenons, you'll need to get some coding by someone with a Star laptop, whether it be at the dealer or elsewhere. Otherwise the lights will flicker and be unusable at night. It's a quick setting that shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
If you're spending the money to get xenons, why not spend the extra bit to get bi-xenons?

Mostly cause I have came across sets around the $200 mark vs one bi-Xenon running $300 a piece. This is a second vehicle I bought from the auction so don't want to put too much into it even though I'm sure I will. I've seen HID kits installed in the halogen housings and the light output is awful, so trying to avoid that.

make sure you get the ballasts as well with the lights or it won't work. As for the housing they are plug and play but you will need the car recoded like slammer111 said to show that xenon=present.
