2004 C240 4MATIC
Every now and then taking off from a stop the car will accelerate very weakly with a vibrating noise coming from the middle rear end it feels like (maybe drivetrain?) untill i release and it smoothes out. sometimes i dont have to release and it will smooth out.
Ontop of that i feel as if maybe 1st and 2nd gear may be slipping(not sure)
also every now and then the car would slip into neutral while im in drive taking off and the rpms would kick up until it caught itself and then proceeded in gear (torque converter lock up clutch? - ive monitored it / never locks up / always says slipping or open)
--Ive had the car lock up in first or second gear (limp mode) a few times and pulling over / restarting the car usually fixed the weird problem until it started to cause the check engine light to come on and it would not fix it self until codes cleared , and then back to normal.
I ran the codes - this is what i got /under ME-SF12.8 - MOTOR ELECTRONICS 2.8 i got codes (P2066-128/P2066-064/P2066-016/P2066-004/P2069-064/P2069-016/P2069-004) All 7 of these codes showed but read fault code not found in database(?hmm?)
ive also gotten codes that i wiped before (P0715 - INPUT/TURBINE SPEED SENSOR A CIRCUIT /P0730 - INCORRECT GEAR RATIO)
now under transmission i got the following codes - (P2502-The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping / P220A-The speed comparison of Y3/6n2 to Y3/6n3 is implausible / P2500 - The transmission has a impermissible transmission ratio )
-------------
Now im trying to figure out what is going wrong and where to start on replacing parts as to budget is tight . Also im curious if a simple alternator / voltage regulator could cause all of these codes to be thrown out because one or the other is bad maybe even the battery ?
i hear a whining noise everynow and then coming from the motor (feel like a alternator slowly dying out ? but its inconsistent comes and leaves . )
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
UPDATE : the car normally runs at 14.2 v but sometimes i see it drop to 13-14 v . I hear that the voltage is suppose to be consistent if not it may cause other electrical items to act up and fail such as possibly a incorrect gear ratio / transmission slipping because the TCU doesn't know what gear to go in . Also my driver seat module does not work, i can only go back and forth manually / up and down and the backrest laying down does not work cause its electrical . Could this cause anything? shortage somewhere maybe ? Hopefully my TCU or ECU is not filled with oil and i have to replace it like ive read else where.
UPDATE : my gear shifter plastic holding piece on one side snapped so it does not properly snap in place like it should and im curious if liquids ever may have gotten in there . Thinking about pulling it apart and cleaning it along with the TCU hoping there is no oil in it from the wiring harness or however it gets in there. I will post VIN number soon cause im sure someone will request that information. Any input is greatly appreciated! Feel free to ask any questions that you may have so i can answer then if theres anything i missed, thanks.
