The interior really is nicely done. Too bad DVD nav will be delayed availbility, why can't MB just introduce everything at once?

Since the MBUSA website shows that the DVD Nav system was available, I just assumed it was available now.

Do you have any further Info on it?

I remember hearing that DVD Nav. would be delayed availability on the C. Maybe someone here can confirm that, can't find any info. on MBUSA. Maybe it will be available immediately.

I think the 2004 C-Class had a Bose audio system but MB-USA indicates the 2005 has a Harmon Kardon system. I wonder if that's going to be optional.

It's here in stock I saw it today at the Ft. Lauderdale dealer. DVD nav is available, no delay. Harmon Kardon stereo is part of the entertainment pkg. Car also comes stock with what looks like a short antenna on the back window for tele-aid possibly. Steering wheels still come only in black inconsistent with MB reports. Wheel widths are staggered though, bad for rotating to even out wear. Clear Headlights and painted AMG grill look great! Taillights are NOT l.e.d. s though. Cars coming with what looks standard with the APS 20 stereo with an abbreviated LCD screen unlike the APS 50 with full LCD screen. Kept the year 04.5 cool rims and possibly different tires but still 17 inch. Interior satin finish metal may have a subtle pattern but is an ok touch. I would rather the birds eye maple. Gear shift knob matches satin finish metal accents. Guages are simplified and more elegant with shiny rings around them. Strip of chrome down sides of car horizontally. Steering wheel matches coupe 3 spoke with brushed metal buttons for computer phone etc.

i have a question. on the website it talks about the MB-tex upholstery w/ the leather inserts. Now the MB-tex, that is like a synthetic leather right?? O'm just making sure its not gonna be cloth, cuz i do'nt want cloth anywhere on my car,

If someone knows please reply cuz i think i'm going to the dealer to order my car today.

By the way, the dealer came down 1000 off the retail, and the retail is 33950 for what i'm getting (lighting package, sunroof, heated seats, metallic paint(pewter silver metalic))

In the past, MB-Tex was very high quality vinyl upholstery that cost about 2/3rds the price of MB's leather.

The quality of MB-Tex may have changed but it still is vinyl and will probably last longer than leather.

It's not as soft as leather.

A dealer came down $1000 off a '05 model or a 04.5' model, theres a big difference between the two. Let us know.

umm, i'm located in evansville, IN and i don't know how much the navigation is, i know the other options were almost the saem, i think the sunroof package and bixenons may have gone up a 100 each, but those are the only options i know about since i got them, later

My Ft Lauderdale dealer says price is UNCHANGED, said a couple of options like xenon is 20.00 cheaper, said DVD Nav is 2200.00 and entertainment pkg with Harmon Kardon and surround is 1000.00. All told the prices are about the same. You do however get more for your money than 04.5. Example: AMG body kit, upgraded clear headlights, E series style audio options, DVD Nav, possibly tele-aid as standard, shorter stick, upgraded suspension, supposed improved exhaust note, seats upgrade, buttons on steering wheel (dubious), guages (superficial), but you lose the free maintenance (questionable value).

Did anybody catch the new rear decklid lip spoiler on the gallery page? It looks nice! Looks very similar to the Carlsson lip-spoiler except might even look like a cleaner line

I already have a call into a parts department at the local MB dealer, but they said it's very difficult to get the part ordered seperately. Anyways, please let me know if anybody can find out.

Hey guys...well I have been thinking about getting new taillights. Got really sick of my 2003 Taillights, they really do look like they were "dipped in water" too long as someone once described them. I was really looking into the S-Class styled one's but after a while I really like how the 2004.5 and up taillights look. Can anybody tell me the price of these? I most likely will go to dealer (if any of you guys know the part numbers, i would greatly appreciate it if you told me them) unless there is another place that sells them cheaper.
