C200 Kompressor 2007
Car Does not crank/start
Merc C200 Kompressor 2007: Battery was week, car did not start. Installed new Battery, the car would not crank or start. after a few try to start the car and a few banging of the steering column up and down, car start and drives normally. Turn the car off and tried to restart the car many addition times to no avail, even after moving the steering column up and down and banging it hard.
Turned the key is first position, a few function work (i.e. radio starts and goes, steering wheel is locked, headlights do not turn on). Turned the key in second position - no reaction (same as the key in first position, no other lights or function works). Turn the key further where the car should start, no crank, no start. Any suggestion as what the problem might be?
