MAF SENSOR/BODY
Hoping to get you guys comments/recommendations.
I've a 2005 C230 Kompressor Coupe 1.8
I be needing a MAF sensor, but dealership ridiculous price, so but to my knowledge the MAF sensor consists of of a body plus the sensor insert.
If the sensor itself would be available on its own there is no need to replace the entire body housing.
So my Q: is does anyone know of anywhere that might sell just the sensor insert?
Also has anyone had any luck with lower priced MAF sensors?
Im experiencing a P0171 system too lean, and using the Torque App the precat 02 sensor shows zero voltage reading.
I've replaced both 02 sensors, camshaft magnetic sensors?pigtail harness, there are no vacuum leaks(had the entire air cleaner housing off and inspected crankcase hoses etc and everything is fine.
Engine runs great,no lag, no misfire, runs smooth etc, but fuel consumption shot up high + the engine light on - P0171 system too lean.
Would greatly appreciate any help/comments if you guys experienced same etc?
Not taking it to Dealership as i might just as well bend over and say "GIVE IT TO ME"

I live in Canada, vehicle has 369,000 Klm

Ordered MAF sensor from Dealership $500
No change, still running lean P0171
Precat 02 still zero voltage reading using Torque Pro
Would anyone perhaps have access to a wiring diagram for the VEHICLES Precat 02 connector

but as I mentioned earlier the Bosch fuel pump is fairly new.
It's actually the second pump as the first one was reading incorrect fuel level.
I'm starting to suspect maybe engine wiring harness or the ECU

a. Get a iCarsoft code reader. Generic codes are useless. Was
fighting the 0171 too lean code for a long time, till I read it 1st with
Carsoft and then paid a guy $40 to get a printout on
SDS. Both said tthe same thing.

b. I purchased the Bremi MAF from RM European online for like $100 bucks or so.
I will say I did have a problem with it, and had to send it back under warranty for a replacement,
the glue came undone and the insert was hanging out the side. I coulda just glued but I got a new one for free.
c. I spend some time in the R170 forum, which has the same engine as mine.
And those guys are using Pierburg MAF inserts. Can't tell you exactly where to get one,
but look around.
d. Insame, didn't he say he replaced the 02 sensors?
Oh, wiat I see he got one, and might be a wiring issue.
e. Call 1800Mercedes and see if they still sell the service DVD, it has everything including wiring diagrams for
about $60.

There will be no 3rd time.
Looking for best price on the VDO unit.
Anyone use the Hella one?
