Shuffle mode in CD Changer
Does anyone know how get the CD changer to play random tracks from all CD's loaded in the magazine? I can only get it to shuffle one disc at a time. This seems like a basic enough function, but the manual does not mention anything about it.

2002 Lexus IS300 5-speed
I remember (from a distance memory) mine only shuffles within one disc. After it done with shuffle through all the songs on one disc, then it will go to shuffle the next disc.

Yep - only shuffles songs, not discs - unfortunately. I was kinda looking forward to a feature like that now that I was springing for a CD changer (I only had single-disc in-dash units before), but no such luck...
Are there aftermarket changers like the MB one that have this feature? What about in-dash changers?

very few, if any cd changers have multidisk shuffle. Its simply too long between tracks if you have to switch disks as well.

Sony CD changers let you choose to shuffle 1 disc or all disc. I think Sony copyright or the first company used "Shuffle Play" for random play.

Well, I asked because I used to own a Pioneer 12 disc changer with such a feature, and it was great for long trips. Just load your favorite music and wait to be surprised with the next great tune. Guess we can put this one to rest. Too bad.
