There is a way to add Bluetooth to the vehicle. Personally I turned that jack into an "always on" 5V USB port, which is great for charging things while on the road. See this thread.
Besides the port, I also retrofitted the factory voice control system. Basically I can dial and talk to people without taking the phone out of my pocket, on top of changing radio stations by flicking a stalk.. It's not perfect (amazing for the era but not now obviously), but it's very useful.

In theory it can, if you want to remove the wiring and replace it with an audio jack.
Personally I found it much simpler to install an audio jack in the tray under the radio. Some people installed theirs in the ashtray. The possibilities are endless.
