Exclamation Rear Shocks

Hello everyone, I have a 2002 C230, W203 obviously, and am looking to replace my rear shocks. My question is what model/type should I get? Looking to get a smooth, quiet yet sporty ride. I’m looking at either Koni, KYB, Sachs or Bilstein. Which is best bang for your buck? Thank y’all.

I just replaced mine a week ago with B4 Bilsteins, surprisingly the original equipment Sachs I took off were still plenty firm after 13 years...did the fronts too, the ride is pretty much the same. Don't know about Koni, but I'd recommend Bilstein or sachs. KYBs are for beaters..

Your factory originals are Sachs monotube and damn near indestructible, that's why they're so expensive. The vast majority of people replacing shocks buy Bilstein B4s because they're the cheapest of the reputable brands. They're stiffer than the original but don't expect them to last as long. I went for new factory AMG Sachs when I was able to find them cheap but that's rare. FCP has Bilstein B4 rears for $47 a pop -another 5% off. Hard to beat that.
