Let's Hear It, Anyone Has 300k+ Miles Clocked?
I am curious to see how many miles W203 can clock and how many years can they last. My '02 C240 arrived at our stable with 72k, I am wondering how far it can go, how many more years can it last. So far 182k ain't been a hill for my 97 camry...it's been quite the stepper. Over at ToyoNation some folks have 550k+ on their's and still rolling. So what is the most clocked mileage so far on a W203? How much longer do you plan to keep your ride rolling? Let's hear it - year and mileage?

2003 C230K Coupe Orion Blue
See this thread. Looks like some on the forum are breaking 400k km now.
Personally I'm over 200k km and the car runs great, though I'm constantly doing stupid little repairs on it. It's still a very fun car to drive though.

250k miles but I need a head gasket.
Replaced alternator, supercharger and front brakes a few months ago. I thought the SC was seized but actually it was the alternator! Well it was the original which had been rebuilt once, so got new one from FCP Euro for around $200. Took a while to find a low mileage SC and in the end it didn't requires replacement. But put the newer one in anyway and having it out made replacing the alt. much easier. Old one only had 120k on it, so keeping for a spare.
Good news is lots of DIY info now online on head gasket that was not available before. So I intend to do the work myself. Head gasket has had slow coolant leak mostly outside the engine for years but most recently it's gotten much worse enough to fog the windows, so gack! Breathing coolant bad!
Running great despite the leak, but not without some effort. Parts like alternators, starters water pumps, fuel pumps, superchargers, MAF's, belts, pullies, brakes, etc all have finite lifespans as well as floor shifter electronics ($600 part OEM but I got mine pick pull). I've replaced them all and if you're not keeping up on trans fluid and diff oil changes you could have problems there as well.
Still on original trans and diff and no slipping.
Sunroof no longer works, and one of heater flaps doesn't work, blows on floor all the time.
Those things can be fixed but are labor intensive so I live with them. Then there's little things like window switches, oh so many little things but would be big things if I was paying $150 an hour to have them fixed.
Also needs new motor mounts and suspension could use a refresh.
It's just a matter of do you want to fix the car you have and know, or buy another used car that you don't know the history on or spend 50k for a new Benz.
For me as the original owner for 21 years of model engine combo only sold for a year, I'd like to see her make it past 300k miles and beyond. C sportcoupe was only sold 4 years in the states and only 1 year with the indestructible M111 4 cylinder that I have. After that it was the awful and fragile m271. We have other cars so it's OK if it's down for a while.
Also they DO NOT liked being parked in heavy rain FYI.
I'd buy a c220 CLC if I could, but I can't.
