Why is this leaking ?

Its a 03 c240 sedan. So i pulled into my garage and saw a trail of liquid drops. I jacked the car up and on the driver front side thats what i saw. Someone will correct me while i attempt to give a theory. Im not sure, but im guessing its a control arm joint or something of that sort. I believe its power steering fluid. Those are pictures of a joint connected to an arm, which is connected to the wheel. I believe its the arm that allows me to turn the wheel left and right. Ill take more pictures later, i just wanted to see if some of you experts can weigh in on this issue. Thanks

That's your control arm bushing...it is rubber with some weird fluid inside. Time to replace them, if one is leaking the others aren't far behind. Two per side, the quality ones are not cheap (lemforder, corteco) Don't cheap out and buy junk, you'll be redoing them in a short time. Febi brand isn't too bad either. An decent indy will be able to knock this out in a day, or you could DIY.

Theres a huge dip in the road near the shopping center and i slowed down, but it still bumped. It wasnt very hard, but i guess it was hard enough to damage it. And i dont cheap out on anything when it comes to my cars. Thanks man i really appreciate it.

One bump in the road didn't damage it, it's something that eventually happens. Those control arms take a lot of abuse. Are you gonna DIY or have an indy (or dealer) do it?
