Weird C240 problem
Hello, I have been having this weird problem with my 2003 C240. If the car is left sitting for an hour or two the remote unlock or lock on the fob will not work. I have to use the cut key to open the door to get into the car. Once I am in the car the unlock/lock button on the dash will not work either but as soon as I put the fob in the ignition everything works again. Anybody have an idea of what’s going on?

When you put the fob into the ignition does the buzzing sound seem much slower than usual? If so, that means the battery is being drained by something, and its most likely he power seats, they're quite notorious for the w203 models. The reason why I'm telling you this is because the fob unlock/lock feature don't like to work very well when the battery is low, from my experience that is,

Pulling the fuses didn't work for me, the modules were still draining the battery. I ended disconnecting them completely, it worked for awhile but now something new is draining my battery. I think the w203 has pretty bad draining issues, at least from my experience and what I've heard from others. Hopefully disconnecting the seats will solve your issue, for now.
